Getting to know you

As your wedding photographer, I care about you, your relationship and telling the beautiful story of your momentous day. It’s an amazing privilege to be documenting such a special part of your journey. To do this well, I want to catch a glimpse into what makes you tick and what drew you both together. Help me understand your unique connection so we can personalize your portraits by filling out the client questionnaire. Please fill out with as much detail as possible.

Engagement Pictures

Engagement sessions not only showcase your unique relationship and personalities but also gives us time to get to know each other better. This is very important as I will be sharing one of the most important days of your lives with you and I want you to look and feel as comfortable as possible! These sessions consist of 3 hours of shooting time at up to 3 locations with a total of 3 outfits. I never want you to feel rushed and therefore allow plenty of time for location and clothing changes. I find it is best to have a variety chosen for your three outfits; 1 casual, 1 semi-casual and 1 formal choice typically works well. It is best to correspond these outfits with our predetermined locations. When deciding what to wear for your session, keep in mind that comfort is key! I also suggest couples steer away from bright colors and big logos. This keeps your clothing from taking the focus away from you as a couple and ensures that your images are beautiful and timeless.

Wedding Day Planning

A month before your wedding date, we will complete a detailed timeline for your wedding day! This can happen through a phone call, skype or facetime meeting. This will allow me to understand how the day will flow in regards to photography. Important topics will include arrival time, getting ready locations, first look, ceremony details, locations for casual/formal pictures, and reception details.  It’s important to allow at least 3-4 hours for casual and formal pictures.

Final Payment

The remaining balance of your wedding photography package must be paid 6 weeks before the wedding date.

Design and Delivery of Wedding Album

Wedding albums are a great tangible reflection of your wedding day.  I personally go through all your wedding pictures and pick out 30-40 pictures to tell the story of your wedding day. Once I have completed the proof, I will give you a chance to review and make changes as needed. After approving the design, you choose a color for the wedding album cover. After the cover choice is made, I will send off the album to be made and delivered to your doorstep! The proof will be sent off in 6 weeks from the wedding date. Completion and delivery times may vary.  Please note: After I have sent off the album, no changes can be made.

Posting Engagement and Wedding Photos to social media

When posting to social media, please make sure to tag my Facebook page.

Delivery and Printing Photos

For engagement sessions, expect 2 to 3 weeks for delivery and for weddings expect 6-8 weeks. Please note that these times vary depending on the season, but I will always work my hardest to get them to you as soon as possible. When your photos are ready, they will be uploaded to a gallery where you, your friends and family can view and order pictures at your leisure.  You will be able to order a 4×6 print for .29 cents or an 8×10 for $1.69. It’s important to order your prints from a professional lab.

Engagement sessions will be delivered via download from my proofing and ordering site. You will be provided a password to download high-resolution photos. Once wedding photos are done, both the engagement session and wedding photos will be combined onto one USB drive for delivery.

If you need to get in contact with me before or after your wedding date, e-mail is the best way. My e-mail address is grant@grantwphoto.com. I typically reply back within 48 hours of receiving the e-mail. Saturdays and Sundays are reserved for weddings and engagement sessions so it might be Monday or Tuesday before I can reply!
