Lauren and Isaac are flying high, and not just because of their Top of the World engagement photos in Manhattan, Kansas, marking a picturesque start to their future together as husband and wife.

 Lauren was born in El Paso, Texas, but grew up in Maryland. Ten years ago, she moved to Kansas and officially considers herself a “Midwesterner,” even graduating from the University of Kansas. Her fiancé, Isaac, was born and raised in Wamego, Kansas, earning his degree from Wichita State University.

Interestingly, Isaac saw Lauren’s picture on social media before they ever met. After he saw Lauren on her brother’s Snapchat, he asked the brother’s permission to reach out to her. They started talking and, a few weeks later, met up for a weekend at a lake house and have been together ever since. In fact, Lauren says that is still one of her favorite memories with her future husband — they both felt the chemistry immediately.

When Isaac proposed to Lauren at the Botanical Gardens in Wichita, Kansas, last November, it was a huge surprise to her, but one they couldn’t be more thrilled about. Lauren works in the Office of International Admissions at Wichita State University, and Isaac is a project engineer at Huhtamaki in De Soto, Kansas. They enjoy traveling and look for any excuse to spend time together — one of many reasons the couple is excited for their August 2018 wedding at Unity Village in Missouri.
